Sustainable development in the Chalet d'en Hô

When one lives in such outstanding natural surroundings as the Clarée Valley, it is natural to wish to preserve the environment. Here are the key words of our environmental approach.

Our basic good practices:

  • Waste sorting
  • Green energy supplier
  • Lighting with LED low energy light bulbs
  • Use of environmentally certified products or with vinegar to clean up
  • All our rooms have a welcome pack featuring big reusable dispensers

What about the staff and clients?

  • We change the towels every other day (and not every day), so as to use less detergent and less water
  • Our staff have been trained in our "ecological" good practises (switch off the lights when they leave a room, avoid letting the water run uselessly, sort waste).

What about food?

  • Our cooking is based on local produce to favor local food systems (especially dairy products, cold meats and meat), and organic produce
  • We do not give out plastic water bottles.


Every year we develop our practises to meet the demands of renovation,
according to our ideas or our clients’ ideas !
